And maybe it will once Reed and family are done with it. But they started with the Marvel U first, so by definition it isn’t Universe 616 anymore–they didn’t do 615 other universes before it.
I don’t think it was ever stated that Earth 616 was so named because it was a first-come-first-served numbering, and that this was the 616th Earth to exist/be discovered/ask for a number/etc. Since we don’t know WHY it was called Earth 616, how can it be said that it is no longer fulfilling those criteria?
